I decided to go that extra mile through getting involved in some of the conservation events that occur monthly at RAF Harrowbeer. I saw this as a great opportunity to ask about the different types of events that take place on this forgotten landscape. I accompanied the Dartmoor Rangers on many occasions as we cut back the heather and cleared out the dispersal bays, being involved in these events made me aware of the different types of habitat management that takes place around the airfield and many other places. Overall the experience has certainly given myself more to talk about in context to my rewilding section to close my film and wrap up on the airfields post-war use.
