An online step by step record, outlining the process followed for my Final Major Project (FMP), submitted in the summer months of 2018.

Having been required to create and deliver two initial film concepts to my peers and lecturers, I have decided that my final project will be based on the disused WW2 airfield, RAF Harrowbeer. The theme for this historical documentary style project, will take the viewer on a journey back through time as we re-create images and stories for the lives of the brave men and women who served on this base, at a time of war.

Whilst experiencing a 1940's reenactment weekend at RAF Harrowbeer, I was inspired to delve deeper into the local history of the site. Through the collections of archive material and local interest groups, I have created a short, dedicated to commemorate the personnel who were stationed at this particular airbase. At its peak, the station employed the services of over two thousand individuals from each of the three military services as well as numerous civilian roles.

My film will also demonstrate how over a period of time that nature has reclaimed this forgotten landscape.

A front cover design for my DVD or poster - Inside the case will be images and possibly a map of the airfield, a bit like the one I have referred to for my research for the layout of the station. I plan to try and recreate a case that employs the same kind of design for the 'Band of Brothers' box set.
